Q: What is the buy-in?
A: Buy-in is $20
Q: How many rebuys?
A: There are 2 Rebuys (optional) allowed when at 5000 chips or less. Rebuy cost is $20.
Q: Are there any Add-ons?
A: There are no Add-ons allowed for this tournament.
Q: What is the starting stack?
A: 10000 chips.
Q: How long are the blind rounds?
A: Blinds are 10min long hence "Midnight Express"
Q: How many players typically in this tournament?
A: We're still building a following, but for the first month it's been between 9 and 20 most nights.
Q: Is there a guaranteed prize pool?
A: No, there is no guaranteed prize pool.
Q: How do I register?
A: You need to be present at the club and pay your tournament buy-in at the front desk. There is no advanced/phone registration available.
Q: How late can I register
A: We accept late registrations up until the end of the first break which is after 4 rounds of play (10min each). So you can still register about 50 minutes after the start of the tournament.
Q: If I am late how many chips do I get?
A: You will receive a stack which has been blinded down. Depending on when you arrive, from 100-600 chips will be blinded off. For example, if you arrive only a few minutes late, you will likely receive a full stack. If you arrive at the last minute, and register during break, your stack will have 600 chips blinded off.
Q: What percentage of the field do you pay?
A: We pay approximately 10-15% of the field.
Q: Do you withhold any money from prize pool (rake)?
A: Absolutely not, 100% of the buy-ins/prize money go back to winning players, this is an Oregon Law.
Q: How much is first place?
A: First place is typically 42% of the total prize pool.
Q: How long does the tournament last?
A: This tournament will be over no later than 3am. Typically it finishes around 2.
