Q: What is the buy-in?
A: Buy-in is $40
Q: How many rebuys?
A: This is a No Rebuy tournament, a "Freeze-Out".
Q: Are there any Add-ons?
A: There is 1 Add-on(optional) allowed at the first break. Add-on is $20 for 4000 chips.
Q: What is the starting stack?
A: 6000 chips.
Q: What is the blind structure for this tournament?
A: Blind structure can be found here
Q: How many players typically in this tournament?
A: Typically, there are 25-40 players per tournament.
Q: Is there a guaranteed prize pool?
A: Yes, Encore guarantees there will be at least $1000 in the prize pool. If there is less than $1000 in prize pool then Encore will add whatever amount in overlay to make it $1000.
Q: Can the prize pool be more than $1000?
A: Yes, it usually is more and ranges from $1000 up to $3000.
Q: How do I register?
A: You need to be present at the club and pay your tournament buy-in at the front desk. There is no advanced/phone registration available.
Q: How late can I register
A: We accept late registrations up until the end of the first break which is after 3 rounds of play (20min each) + 10min break. So you can still register within 1 hour and 10min after the start of the tournament.
Q: If I am late how many chips do I get?
A: You will receive a stack which has been blinded down. Depending on when you arrive, from 100-300 chips will be blinded off. For example, if you arrive only a few minutes late, you will likely receive a full stack. If you arrive at the last minute, and register during break, your stack will have 400 chips blinded off.
Q: What percentage of the field do you pay?
A: We pay approximately 10-15% of the field.
Q: Do you withhold any money from prize pool (rake)?
A: Absolutely not, 100% of the buy-ins/prize money go back to winning players, this is an Oregon Law.
Q: How much is first place?
A: First place is typically 42% of the total prize pool.
Q: How long does the tournament last?
A: Typically, if you go all the way to the finish, allocate 3 to 5 hours of your time.
